Weekly Playgroups: Open!

Outside of peak boarding seasons we offer weekly playgroups. A chance for members of our pack to visit for the day, play and socialize safely, and come home tired!

We on-board new dogs, only a few months per year, avoiding peak boarding seasons and holidays.

Hello friends! You have found The StoweAways!

Owned and operated in rural Morgan County by husband and wife, Tommy & Kerry Stowe.
The StoweAways is a niche operation in the animal care industry, offering personalized in-home dog boarding. Tommy and Kerry are career experts in dog behavior and body language, with a combined 35+ years experience in professional dog boarding and training. We chose our farm in Madison, Georgia as the backdrop for our life-long dream, The StoweAways. While we operate with a Kennel License, we are about as far from a “kennel” as you can get. Our clients and their dogs are welcomed into our home and treated as part of the family. We are in the business of building real bonds with our dogs, and long-term personal relationships with their owners. Our partnerships often last a dog’s lifetime…and that may be the hardest part.

When your dog is welcomed into our pack, they gain access to our range of services.

Overnight Lodging

$50/night per dog

Would your pup prefer to avoid a typical kennel environment? Tommy & Kerry come from long careers in the commercial kennel industry. Along the way we saw too many dogs trembling for the comforts of home. This is how our business idea was born.

We are fully licensed with Morgan County and the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and host up to 10 guests at a time.

Closed Sundays
We board full-time, year round, and work for our dogs 7 days a week. We do not schedule pick-ups or drop-offs on Sundays, giving ourselves our family day to rest and worship without appointments.

Individualized Care

Tommy and Kerry run this operation together full-time, out of their home, with no staff. Our visitors are treated as part of our family, receiving 24-hour customized care. We cater to all kinds of family-friendly dogs, but are a particularly good fit for seniors, dogs with special needs or medical conditions, dogs in end of life care, young puppies, or dogs that suffer with varying levels of separation anxiety.

Customized Socialization

Whether they’re here for boarding or daycare, all of our guests enjoy the true talent of our master pack leader “Uncle Tommy” with our included socialization. A career expert in dog behavior and body language, Tommy carefully evaluates each guest for temperament, social preferences, and play style; perfectly matching our play groups together for maximum fun, and maximum safety.

Wedding Support

If you want your best friend involved in your big day, we’re here to help! We free up family members from the responsibility and time commitment in managing your dog during your wedding.

Our Wedding Support Packages include any combination of:

Lodging as needed, before or after the big day.

Full groom prior to your ceremony.

Transport to and from your wedding venue as needed.

Escort and management on site between the ceremony, photo shoot, etc. We’ll even walk your dog down the isle!

Wedding Support packages are customized to your exact desires, with prices varying depending on your needs.

Other Services

If you and your dog become part of our pack, we are here for you. We provide a wide range of additional services for our clients as needed, including transport to and from our farm, in-home pet-sitting visits, vet visit transportation/supervision, introductions between family dogs and new additions, rescue dog temperament evaluations, and more.
